Viktor Pietschmann
Viktor Pietschmann was born in 1881, in Vienna, Austria. He was in Turkey from 1914 until the end of WWI. First he served in the Turkish Army and then in the Austrian and German armies, where he drew war maps over southwest Asia for the German headquarters. While he was in Erzurum, he was witness to the Armenian massacres carried out by the Ottoman government.
