January 11 Instructions are issued to prevent foreign officers to photograph Armenian corpses.

January 23 The Governor-General of Aleppo informs Talaat that only 10% of the Armenian deportees are alive and they will take measures to get rid of those too.


January 23 to March 10 During this period, it is reported that out of 486,000 Armenian deportees, 364,500 have been killed by the Turks or died of distress during the deportation.


January 24 War Ministry orders that the Armenian soldiers who are still alive have to convert to Islam and be circumcised.


January 28 A telegram orders that all orphans should be killed.


January 29 The remains of 50,000 Armenians were reported to have been discovered concentrated at Intille (Intili).


February 9 The Deportation Commissioner in Aleppo requests for funds for the liquidation of the orphans.


February 14 50,000 Armenians were reported to have been murdered at Intille (Intili).


February 16 Turkey rejects request from an U.S. aid organization to ship supplies and necessities to the Armenians.

February 16 The Russian Army occupies Erzurum and finds only a handful of jailed Armenian women who are living scattered across the entire province.


February 16 U.S. Secretary of State, Robert Lansing, asks the German Ambassador, Bern Stoff, to stop the Armenian tragedy.


March 10 A report has been sent to the Ministry of Interior stating that 75% of the Armenians who were in the desert are now dead and only 25% are still alive.


March 20 The authorities in Aleppo inform Talaat that 95,000 Armenians have died due to disease and other causes.

March 20 Instructions are issued to seize Armenians orphans with pretense to feed them. Nonetheless, they will be killed.


March 29 The Turkish government officially rejects foreign aid to the Armenian deportees.


April 6 14,000 Armenians were massacred in the Ras el-Ain (Ras ul-Ain). Only 24,000 deportees were reported to be alive in the Ras el-Ain.


April 14 At this date, 70 000 Armenians were reported to have massacred at Ras-el-Ain (Ras ul-Ain.

April 15 The Russian Army occupies the city of Trabizon and finds only a few Armenian orphans and widows, who have been hidden by Greek families. No other Armenians are found throughout the city.


April 15 A battalion of the Fourth Turkish Army arrives at Ras-el-Ain (Ras ul-Ain) to assist in the massacring of the Armenians.


April 16 New York Times reports that German Catholics state that 1 million Armenians have been massacred and hold England responsible for this crime.


April 19 50 out of 100 Armenian deportees were reported to die daily in Meskene Abu Herir (Abuharar), Sabkha (Sebka) and Hammam (Hamam).


May 21 News arrive of 19,000 deported Armenians, of which 16,500 have been murdered on shores of Khaburs River, northeast of Der Zor and the 2,500 survivors have reached Mosul.


June 25 7,000 Armenian soldiers stationed at Sivas are arrested within the period of nine days and liquidated.


June 30 The German Ambassador, von Wolff-Metternich, informs the German Chancellor, that the ruling Ittihad party (Young Turks) is about to annihilate the Armenian refugees.


August 1 The rights of the Armenian Patriarch are revoked by the Turkish Ministry, which asserts that there is no Armenian congregation in Turkey anymore.

August 8 8,000 Armenian deportees in Aleppo are sent to the desert.


August 14 200,000 Armenian deportees were reported to have been killed in Zor district.


September 5 The government orders all Armenian orphans to have Turkish names.


September 7 60 000 Armenian deportees were reported to have been massacred in the Der Zor.


October 3 At the request of Enver, the German Ambassador, Count von Wolff-Metternich, is recalled to Germany, du to his protests against the Armenian massacres.


October 4 The German Charge d'Affaires, William Radowitz, reports to the German Chancellor, Theobald von Bethman, that out of Turkey's two million Armenians, 1.5 million were deported and 1.175 million were dead and only 325,000 were still at live.


October 5 The Turkish government adopts a new law which transfers all Armenian property to the Turkish state.
